Space is like your musical frame

I attended a very well thought out clinic today from trombonist Conrad Herwig

He opened the clinic with a freely improvised piece that had a simple beautiful framework. His main theme of his lecture was how an artist can develop something beautiful and improvised but still live within a small set of very clear goals on how to articualte ideas and make the music cohesive.

I ran into this video this video this afternoon while practicing some standards. When I just viewed it, there was 40 plays. I figure it'll be in the thousands in the next week or two.

It's Kurt Rosenwinkle @ the Burkeley Church.
I haven't had enough of a chance to google this place, but I ran into this.
